CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services (CTI), a multi-national, privately held, full-service contract research organization, congratulates their friend and partner Dr. Ray Takigiku of Bexion Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company founded more than a decade ago with a focus on rare brain and solid tumors, on being named one of Cincinnati's Healthcare Heroes. Takigiku, nominated by CTI, was honored as a finalist in the "Entrepreneur" category at the Cincinnati Business Courier's Healthcare Heroes award reception, held on February 21 at at the Hyatt Regency in Cincinnati, OH.
The Healthcare Heroes Awards recognizes those who have improved the quality of health care in Greater Cincinnati through medical expertise, research and innovation, management skills, entrepreneurial initiatives, community outreach and patient care. The Entrepreneur category honors an entrepreneurial initiative in the health care business scene that is making strides in the industry.

CTI and Bexion first announced their partnership in the development of BXQ-350 for the treatment of cancer in the fall of 2016. The teams have been working closely together to move BXQ-350 through the drug development process ever since, announcing the resultsof early testing in humans in 2018.
